In partnership with Atlas Copco, the Eurocontainer Group manufactured the first offshore container ever built in Spain, at our production facilities in Zaragoza.
An offshore container is a portable unit specifically designed for the transport of equipment and supplies to and from, or between, fixed and mobile offshore installations. It is engineered to withstand the demanding conditions of offshore operations while ensuring safe handling in open-sea environments.
Due to the harsh environmental conditions in which these containers operate, the minimum design temperature is typically specified at –20°C. The primary structure is therefore manufactured from materials that maintain the required impact toughness at this temperature.
Compliant with:
- CSC – International Convention for Safe Containers
- DNV 2.7-1 – Offshore Containers Standard
The structural design was validated using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to simulate all relevant load cases and operating conditions. In addition, the container was tested in accordance with internationally recognised procedures.
Testing carried out in compliance with DNV 2.7-1 requirements.
